At what stage should we discuss coordination?
An early discussion is useful once the broad scope and intended programme are known. If fabrication or site work is already underway, share the current status, open issues and decisions required so the remaining work can be reviewed.
How are drawing changes handled?
A clear revision and approval process should be agreed at the outset. When a change is proposed, identify the affected components and review any implications for material, work already completed, cost and delivery before implementation.
Does coordination include responsibility for every contractor?
The coordination scope is defined around the agreed package. Roles for other contractors, structural design, site supervision, approvals and installation need to be explicitly assigned within the project team.
